ABK Stuttgart is a corporate font for Stuttgart State Academy of
Art and Design which is inspired by the academy's comprehensive
type design tradition. Features from different typefaces by former
professors and students were incorporated in the font's DNA, among
them are designs by F.H. Ernst Schneidler, Imre Reiner, Walter Brudi,
Kurt Weidemann or Frank Heine. Besides the regular fonts for body text
applications, the type family offers a wide range of alternative glyphs,
including 3 stylistic sets. In collaboration with Dirk Wachowiak. (2016-18)
ABK Stuttgart was released as Referenz Grotesk by the type foundry
Sudtipos in March 2020.
